Engage Atlanta is continuing our partnership with Samaritan’s Purse that began with flood relief back in the Fall of ‘09. SP has accepted our invitation to come back and we are working together to help reconstruct the homes of families impacted by the devastating floods.

Of the 425 homes that SP served back in the fall, 275 were complete tear outs. Members of our community have endured cold nights without sheetrock, insulation, or adequate flooring.

Samaritans Purse has not only matched, but doubled  $50,000 raised by Engage Atlanta. They hiring local personnel, providing help in volunteer training and coordination, and all liability insurance for reconstruction projects.

Your church can sponsor the rebuild of a home and have your own volunteers do the work. Churches can also sponsor something smaller such as a kitchen, bathroom, or we will partner to work up another option.

Volunteers from any church are always welcome beginning February 2nd, 2010.

Volunteer Labor and Licensed sub-contractors willing to volunteer are needed as well.
