For the past two years a growing number of churches of different denominations around NW Atlanta have come together to serve our communities and worship on one weekend as a demonstration of unity and oneness in Christ.

We have served in dozens of schools, parks, and performed home repairs for hundreds of families in need throughout NW Atlanta. Several churches have taken their own Summer Outreach opportunities and moved them to this weekend as a way of working together and showing unity.

This year we are planning to have even more churches and faith-based non-profits involved. To accomplish this requires a great deal of communication and coordination.

We would like to invite you to hear how this process will work and are giving you two chances to get the information you need to get started.

Join us for a Conference Call meeting on either Saturday, February 27 at 9am, or Wednesday, March 10th at 12:00 pm for an overview and the opportunity to ask questions.

We are using this method of gathering and information sharing as a way to communicate with leaders all over the metro area from wherever you. Simply dial (678) 500-9896 at the correct time and listen in or participate by asking your questions or providing feedback.

Our Community Makeover is scheduled for July 23-25, 2010. Our hope is to have more than 75 churches around Metro Atlanta to join us in serving communities all over the city. If your church would like more information please join us for lunch at Pappasitos off Windy Hill Road in Marietta on January 14th and 12:00 pm.

Engage Atlanta is partnering with Samaritan’s Purse to help rebuild homes damaged by the flooding of September 2009. Hundreds of families have lost everything that is dear to them and do not have the resources to repair or rebuild their homes. We would like to invite you to join us in this exciting partnership especially by making volunteer opportunities available to your local congregations and civic groups around the Metro Atlanta. We will have more specifics here soon.

In January 2010 Engage Atlanta will also be ‘Doing Business As‘ Engage Burkina. In our first full year of engaging Burkina Faso we have been able to dig 26 wells and build several churches due to your generosity. There will be much more to come throughout 2010 in this area including the ability to register to personally join us for a trip that will allow you to build your own relationships and personally impact villages.
